“Best Dog Park : The old state mental hospital grounds. Wild, overgrown boarded up buildings. "Cider House Rules" was filmed here. People find it beautiful to walk around. There is a circular loop that goes through farm fields and woods and is a perfect place to walk your dog.”
Swimming at the ParkAn enjoyable off leash park with many trails. We meet many playful dogs and as many good owners. The river is fantastic gathering spot especially if you like to swim, which I do. I enjoy taking a pack of my friends for a quick run in the clearing and then run into the river to cool off. I recommend this spot for all!!! posted: August 4th, 2009 |
Wonderful off-leash area...Miles of walking, clean water to swim in (in the warmer weather), mostly responsible dog folks --- lovely all year 'round. Non dog-friendly joggers can occasionally be troublesome ; a friendly (human)butt-sniffing dog may not be appreciated. There's simply no other place like it that I've ever come across. |
