NO NO NO
When we adopted Duchess it was less than a month from Thanksgiving. Minirosa was the only place with space, and we thought-hey, they are with KHS, has to be ok, right? NO. She was severely traumatized when we picked her up and had peed herself who knows how much and demolished her bed. After this, we said NO to anyone that asked. But our friend (see Alex, Alaska, and Sasha in our friends) still took the huskies there, and Sasha's leg was broken in a door. And they didn't even CALL to tell them or their emergency contact, just let her sit in pain for over 24 hours since "it was so close to the time they were coming back".
My mom has taken me and Oscar there twice now and we love it. The staff is very friendly, the price is very afforadable and best of all I look gorgeous after I'm done. They even have hand made treats my mommy buys that are really good.
Minirosa Kennels is with the Kentucky Humane Society. I *think* some of their proceeds go right to KHS. In any case, they have daycare and boarding services. When we were asking around about doggie daycares, we were most impressed with the standards that Minirosa had for regulating it's daycare. The boarding kennels are very clean and cozy. It's a very impressive facility. Last time we were there checking it out, I don't think it had an outdoor exercise area. That would be one addition I would love to see!
