Max had an abssess on his side that developed from an untreated (and unseen) scratch/bite. The vets were very helpful and understanding. They took the time to answer all our questions no matter how silly. While we were there, a man came in with his pitbull that was shot. The owner was hysterical, of course. But the staff and vets were calm and took control. We were impressed by how they handled the situation. The last time we were there was about 6-7 years ago with a very sick kitten. Back then it was overcrowded and run down. They've made major improvements since then. It looks great now and I'm not just talking about the decor. |
We've used CVES three times now, with 2 different pets. Parker went in when he had pancreatitis. Spent the night and got excellent care. The other two times we've used it have been with our cat, MickeyBadCat. He blocked his urethra. The first time with MBC we transferred him from the Chicago Cat Hospital to spend the night. The second time was a true emergency. He had blocked again on the weekend and we couldn't get ahold of any vets. They promptly took him in, catheterized him and made arrangements for him to go to a surgical center the next day for an operation. The doctors were all nice, knowledgeable and spent time listening to us. The facility is fantastic. Dr. Hahn, MBC's doctor even suggested we go to the back and see him before we left for the night. The tech's were incredible. Can't say enough good things about CVES. Hopefully we won't have to use it again, but if we do, we know our animals are in good hands. posted: February 6th, 2007 |
