Wonderful! My cat Reese sees Dr. Brewster at the Gaines School Animal Hospital, and we couldn't be happier. I brought Reese home on Memorial Day. I had rescued him, and he was very sick and full of fleas. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get him to a vet for days, but the GSAH was open, and they saw Reese immediately when I called and told them about him. They helped me learn to care for my sick kitten, and soon he was gaining weight and lively - and flealess! The staff is friendly and skilled with animals - even my feisty, nippy cat. The vet is calm, caring, and has helped me take great care of Reese. Plus, they are more affordable than most vets in the area. I would recommend this vet to any caregiver in the Athens area looking to establish a good relationship with their vet. posted: November 11th, 2007 |
ImpressivePros: My interactions with the vets and staff here have been great so far. They're friendly, and they know their stuff. Both vets I've dealt with treated me as an intelligent human being, rather than talking down to me as some I've experienced in the past. Cons: Parking is in the rear, but the entrance is at the front - it's a long walk with a sick dog in your arms. There's one space at the front, but getting out of it looked awkward. The interior is a little dated, but functional. Overall: I first went to this place because it was open and convenient and they could get me in almost immediately. I'll definitely be taking all of my pets here in the future; Good vets, good staff. |
