beautiful park known for the statue the awakening

This is a great park to go for a walk in. Located between the Potomac river and the washington channel you have water views on either side. At the end of the park is the famous statue The Awakening. This is something you won't soon forget and spooks some dogs. It is of a man climing out of the ground! I wouldn't go after dusk and bring a cell phone in case anything happens...safety first. Enjoy, bring a lunch and sit on a bench.
