Local pet store and puppy mill

My mom used to stop by here almost every week because they were next to a Blockbuster (which has since gone out of business). They are a small pet store which also sells puppies. They seem to try to take care of the puppies (ie. the workers are nice), but still they're in rather small cages all day and that can't be good for them to be in their own poop/pee no matter how often the cages are cleaned. They're good for emergency supplies, but I'm not sure if I would adopt a buddy from them.
