“This is actually a golf course where the owner has been nice enough to let dog owners use the course to walk their furry friends during the winter (providing they pick up).”

This is a dog haven in the middle of winter. Not many people know about it or use it so keep it quiet (ssssshhhhh). There are paths made by the regulars through the golf course that go through the wooded areas, past some grabage pails that have been put out by the owner of the course. I can't image not going to the Rockpile during the winter; it's such a pleasant experience. Everyone that goes there is so pleasant; we all look out for one another. Dogs that are questionable in temperment are always leashed, the rest of them run free. I have never seen a fight in my two years of going there. There are lots of squirrels for dogs to chase, so be warned if your dog is a hunter. It is cold in the winter, so come dressed. The best part of it is when you come in the morning and the sun is rising, the shadows through the trees are beautiful. The dogs love it because they can run free, sniff to their heart's content and just be happy! It's the best place to be in the area for a walk with the dog.
