Thunder Bay, ON P7B 6T7 This is a volunteer based, non-profit dog rescue which is associated with the local pound. When a dog is scheduled for euthanasia, New Hope takes it, and hangs on to it until a home is found. Medical needs (spay/neuter as well) are met, and usually the dog is kept in a foster home. Sometimes dogs from northern communities or elsewhere end up at New Hope also. It's a small organization, with only a few key people, (as is usually the case) some dedicated fosters and volunteers, and donations and fundraising to pay for the bills. In this first year New Hope has existed, many great dogs have found loving homes instead of being destroyed.
