“Rex dog hotel + spa is a family owned and operated facility. We have been in the dog care business since 1996. Our first facility, The Doghouse at Granville Island, was one of Vancouver's first dog daycares. We opened our second daycare facility on Manitoba Street at West 8th Avenue in 1998. We have built an excellent reputation with our daycares, offering a high level of care in a safe and fun environment. With the opening of The Rex, we are now able to offer luxurious overnight accommodation in our unique dog hotel + spa environment. We have made every effort to build a facility that your dog will love ! Outdoors we have designed a custom dog waterpark with jets, sprays, water balls, and pooling water for lots of fun. Comfortable decking surrounds the waterpark for lounging and watching the action. Indoors we have many play areas and lounge areas with custom designed dog play equipment. Our beautiful spa area offers a tranquil and relaxing environment for your dog to enjoy some extra pampering. For additional peace of mind, small dogs are welcome to stay in our completely separate "small dogs only" area.”
Don't go there. Please don't.Horrible place. Our older dog, Flop came back nervous, scared, and jumpy. Our younger one, Droop came back aggressive and overly territorial. The staff can't even get the feeding done properly. Flop lost weight. We give them PRE-packed food, all they had to do is open the pack and feed. When we go to pick up our dogs, we had food returned to us? How ? Easy, they did not feed our dogs some meals. Our dogs came back smelly and dirty, with dirty stuff matted on their fur.... Not the place to put your dogs. Save your money, go scout out somewhere else. |
Wonderful fun!We dropped in to see the open house when it first started up and were very impressed. If Mommy can't get a family member to take care of me when she has to go out of town, she has promised to take me here since I know everyone there because I play at the Doghouse with them. |
