“Veterinary hospital in Calgary, AB.”
Dr TorranceWhen I had my kitten (20 yrs ago)and needed to get her fixed, Dr Torrance was so wonderful as was his staff....when she had an infection, Dr Torrance was there for me and let me come see her when she had to stay overnight!! When it was her time to be 'put down', I wouldn't have trusted anyone else than your team at the Vet Hospital!! I also saw an episode of a dog show (can't remember name) but DR TORRANCE is the vet in that episode!!! Dr Torrance, in 20 yrs i've known you, you have aged with grace and still would recognize you anywhere!! Now, I'm need to get my dogs 'done' and will be calling to make my appointment - cause i would never trust any of my animals to anyone else!! Thanks Doc!! |
Down to earth and easy to talk to. Over the top helpful! We needed to get our Female dog spayed - and has been shopping around - as we didn't have a regular vet - other then who we had used when we first got the cats. I had called that vet and they said it would be about $700 for her spay, never mind if there was extra blood work or complications - that would be extra. A co-worker of mine suggested I give Trans Canada Vet a call. As they had been reasonable a few years ago when he has used them. I was quoted $180 for the spay... for my 50lbs, under 2 years old dog. So I asked a few more questions about possible extra charges - nope - nothing - oh well.. perhaps if my dog need a cone that would be $10. But that was all - meds for after and even if the Dr. wanted Moe to stay a night there was no extra charge. After the spay... when i picked her up, the staff went through everything Moe could and couldn't do - wrote it down for me and included an after hour emergency contact number for us to call even if we just has a concern. We ended up using that number twice - once cause she seemed to peeing blood - but the Dr. wanted us to wait a few days to see if that kept up - as it turned out it was only discard from her womb. And once more when it seemed that her wound opened after the stitches were taken out. This time he told us to meet him at the clinic. He wanted to make sure she was ok. So at 9pm we were at the vet, and the Dr was there shortly after us. He happily took a Moe - and understood our concern - the wound had opened - but it was healing and would be just fine - as a precaution he gave her a shot of antibiotics and then chatted with us for about 10 mins. There was no charge for this visit or the meds. It was just part of the original procedure according to him. We are so thrilled with the Dr. and the Staff at Trans Canada Vet... should we need to all 3 of our pets will be going there from now on. :) |
LOVE themEverytime i have gone there its been nothing but pleasant (for me anyways) My dog loves all the staff and as do i!! They do great work and very cheap! Dr. Torrance will let you know the cheapest most affective way to help your dog and wont charge you if he doesnt have to! Love going there! |
