“Gaiser Pet's is a Mom and Pop full-service pet store featuring a fresh and saltwater fish, reptiles, birds and small animals and supplies.”
Great personalized experience!I love shopping here. Every time I walk in I'm greeted by name (and my dog's name). All the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. They actually know about the animals in the department they work with. They really go out of their way to make sure you have a wonderful experience. At one point I was looking to switch my dog's food and the manager came over to help me and offered me free samples of many of the brands they carry. I didn't have to ask, and I was able to try several different types to make sure my dog liked the food before I bought a huge bag (this is important when a 5lb bag lasts over a month). They've also been able to special order different things for me without any hassle. Really great store, clean and well stocked. I try and do all of my pet shopping there. |
Last of a dying breedThis is one of two places Mom and Dad go to that they actually like. It's kind of a boutique style pet shop that reminds me of an earlier time. The staff is very kind, but busy, so you sometimes have to wait for someone to help you. They always have unique dog and kitty toys for enthusiasts. Dad says that they need people to support them more since the lame-box stores moved in. I don't know what that means exactly, but he says the box stores don't care about animals, just money. Gaiser has a very caring staff and it shows. Just be careful to do research on any pet you intend to buy to make certain you want it and you know how to take care of it. On occassion Dad says they give incorrect advise. |
