my park to be turned over to humans

Help. I grew up in this park. It is my fave rave. I can run and meet friends all without being tugged and dragged by the neck. Just think of it 100+ acres of freeeeedom, well kinda, it isn't like she just drops me off at the gate. This place is sooo cool. No ticks, no rattlesnakes. Okay,so the biped needs to bring water, so what else is she for but to carry things.

Have a Good Recall!

A favorite place to wander! Dogs will love all the wildlife to check out and the windy, easy-on-the-paws trails. Be very careful of foxtail season and bring your own water, as the water fountain is only at the front of the park and you do not want your dog drinking from any puddles found on this reclaimed former landfill. Rainy season brings lots of mud. Though I've never had a run in, I've heard tales of stinky dogs resulting from a dusk encounter with one of the skunk population. Restrooms are available in the small BBQ area along the main paved trail where dogs must be leashed.

Great park!

This hidden gem is a great place to go with your dog: most of the people you meet are there with their dogs, but the whole park is honeycombed with trails, so you don't have to interact if you don't want to. I'd give it five paws, except for the fact that there are no restrooms and despite the fact it's on the Bay, there's no water access. But Kelpie loves it, especially when she spies a jackrabbit to chase! And I love that the park isn't so big I worry about Kelpie getting lost and that there's only one access point, so I know she can't "run away." The terrain is interesting but not challenging, the views are spectacular, and the spring flowers are lovely.
