“Neighborhood pet store.”
After reading some raving reviews, I decided to stop by and check out this place. Treat, toy, clothing and small animal supply selections here are decent, but not great. I wasn't able to find the beef tendons that Sophie likes, which most pet stores carry. I walked by the food isles and there seems to be a good selection. Compare to B&B, where I shop regularly, prices are higher. Flossies are $3.99 here and $2.79 at B&B. A can of freeze dried liver treat (same brand and size) is $9+ here and $6.99 at B&B. To be fair, B&B has always been one of the cheapest shops around. Prices at Sunset Pet Supply may be comparable to many other pet stores in the city. I think it's great that the owners are active in organizing adoption and community events. The person helping us today may not be the most knowledgeable, but she was very friendly.
Hi Stanford !!!!
Considering B & B can pack-in the merchandise at such a tiny store, I don't see how this store has so very little to offer. The fact that it's in Parkside and they call it Sunset is kinda freaky too. If you don't mind going to a neighborhood dive, then this place is it.posted: February 22nd, 2007
