best park in the sacramento areapartner park is the best off-leash dog park in the city. it's the closest to downtown (i'm still crossing my fingers that they put an off-leash dog park in the middle of midtown!). i haven't been able to go as much as i used to since my dog injured her leg, but this park is the only one i'll go to anymore, and there are definitely dogs (and people) i see there recurringly. it's 2.5 acres of sloping lawn and tall trees, which i prefer to Granite park's gravel. park hours: 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. the phone number is for the city of sacramento parks department, and the web address is for their "off leash dog park" list webpage. |
Great dog parkSpacious, hilly, lots of grass, nice setting. Nice people. All of the people congregate right inside the gate, so the dogs all come in to greet you. I'm ok with it but my sister Molly the shih tzu gets intimidated. Otherwise lots of fun!!! |
Beautiful Park, but kinda scarey for the little guysIt it a REALLY nice park, but it is difficult to keep an eye on my pooch since it is SO big and very 'hilly'. I worry that she may get into a situation with another dog and I won't be around to help. |
