“AZ Cocker Rescue has cocker spaniels, other pure breeds, mutts, and even kittens looking for new homes. Most of our animals have been rescued from death row at AZ county pounds. Please consider adopting a rescue pet they will love you forever!”
DON'T ADOPT FROM THIS GROUP!!I am so grateful for having Ginger in my life...but this rescue group was inhumane & irresponsible in their treatment of Ginger...and their dealings with me. At the time of Ginger's adoption, the rescue group told me she'd been spayed, had shots, a dental exam and was in good health. After a few days, we noticed she was whimpering a lot and that she found it difficult to eat hard food (the same food the rescue had been feeding her). When I took her to the vet, the vet was horrified with the condition of her teeth (some loose, all rotten), said Ginger must be in a lot of pain, and said her teeth looked like they had never been cleaned. The vet removed all the teeth at a cost of $550 to me. I was unhappy with the cost, but Ginger was worth it. Then, we got another shocker. Three weeks ago, Ginger started bleeding. We were worried and after numerous tests (to the tune of $250), the diagnosis was: SHE'S NOT SPAYED!!!!!!! Now I have to spend another $300 for that. Plus I have to get her shots done ($200) because the rescue group can't find her records. I would not recommend this group to volunteer with or adopt from. How they run their rescue group and their treatment of dogs is questionable. The fact that my dog came to me in pain, out of shape, not spayed, ? shots and the fact that they LIED about her teeth & her not being fixed says a lot about the folks who run this group--they SUCK! posted: December 2nd, 2008 |
They saved me from certain death and now II was only 5 years old and scheduled to die because my former owner threw me onto the streets! At the pound, I was not adoptable because I had a cherry eye (easy fix). AZ Cocker Rescue stepped in and saved me. They fixed my eye and neutered me. I'm so thankful and now that I'm in a home that loves me, I'm the happiest dog ever. My little butt is always wiggling! Thanks for taking a chance on a middle aged guy with a good heart! posted: September 27th, 2007 |
