Send Kitty Back to Nature with a Mountain Cat Tree

These rugged, Earth-friendly cat trees are made from real trees.

We were scratching around for natural pet products when we unearthed Mountain Cat Trees. This Massachusetts-based company lovingly crafts cat trees and scratching posts made from real trees.

Rebecca Mountain of Mountain Cat Trees began creating her own feline furniture after becoming frustrated with carpeted cat towers that looked ugly and also encouraged her cats to scratch the carpet and rugs in her home.

She came up with an earth-friendly and nontoxic alternative using natural wood and sisal rope. The cat trees are made from locally harvested birch and look like actual trees, only with the bark removed and platforms added for perching. They’re designed not to tip over, and they’ve got rubber feet to prevent sliding.

Mountain Cat Trees also offers a line of natural scratching posts with a simple and clean design aesthetic.

If you want to get back to nature with your cat trees and scratchers, visit the Mountain Cat Trees website and Etsy shop.
