Lil Bub Plush Toys Are Coming in April, and We Can't Wait

Lil Bub plans to launch a line of plush toys cast in her own diminutive extraterrestrial feline image.

Would you like to own Lil Bub?

Well, obviously that's not going to happen, with her or other famous cats. There's no way her canny Dude is going to give up his tiny little cat from outer space. But in a move that falls somewhere between spreading the Lil Bubalicious love and brazen cat cloning, come April you can purchase a plush toy replica of the Bubster. Here is the marvelous model posing next to the original (on the left).

Lil Bub on Facebook is playing it coy when it comes to details about her ultimate selfie. Bub's blurb reads, "There was only one Bub. Soon there will be many. You can have your very own Bub this April." It also adds that a percentage of the profits from the Lil Bub toy will go to the Best Friends Animal Society. Giving part of revenue to a charitable cause is part of every commercial venture involving Lil Bub. In fact, her Dude, Mike Bridavsky, insists. (Read more in an interview with him from last year.)

While you wait on that momentous day in April, you can add the earlier date of Feb. 8 to your calendar as that's when Lil Bub's Special Special show will air on Animal Planet.

Lil Bub and a man in sunglasses called Andrew.

The broadcast is said to feature a cameo from rambunctious rock star Andrew W.K., and funny lady Amy Sedaris is slated to host the show. Prank phone calls, pillow fights, and hijinks are promised. Although, if Andrew W.K. is involved it might also mean bloody noses and a trashed studio ensuing. But whatever the outcome we're sure Lil Bub will magic everything back to a happy peaceful normality come the end of the show.
