Lil’ Lily is a tiny five-pound kitty who was born with radial agenesis, a disease that means she has to hop around on her hind legs or use her elbows for support. Mighty Lou is a stately older ginger gent who suffers from the triple whammy of deafness, diabetes and a condition where he pulls off something of a shuffle when he walks.

Earlier this month, these two special needs love-birds formalized their relationship when they got married. Naturally, the gift registry was based around donations to the two shelters they hold dear to their hearts, with Lily plumping for the Animal Refuge Center in Phoenix and Lou nominating the Cat Depot in Sarasota.

Behold Lily in her high-end gown.

And this is Lou, looking dapper in his finest kitty tux.

According to the cats’ owners, Nancy Colby and Betty Hughes, the seeds of Lily and Lou’s tryst were planted when they were brought together to meet at a fourth of July picnic last year. They hit it off and so it was decided that a private ceremony would be a fun way to raise money for the rescue groups and also showcase special needs kitties to the world.

Despite the fact that Lily and Lou maintain separate abodes, they seem to be fond of leaving flirtatious messages to each other through social media — not least with Lily liking to serenade Lou with her rendition of the Salt-n-Pepa hit “Whatta Man.”

Following the success of their wedding ceremony, we wish Lily and Lou nothing but the best wishes for their future.
