GO!

My kitten is polydactyl on all 4 paws

If you are wondering what is the right cat for you, this is the place to be. In this introductory forum we talk about topics such as breed vs. mix, size, age, grooming, breeders, shelters, rescues as well as requirements for exercise, space and care. No question is too silly here. This particular forum is for getting and giving helpful, nice advice. It is definitely not a forum for criticizing someone else's opinion, knowledge or advice. This forum is all about purring and learning.

I think.

His feet look like this: http://i42.tinypic.com/2vb91lu.jpg

His extra toes on his front paws are obvious -- but tonight we were playing with his back feet and noticed he has 4 normal pads, PLUS a TINY DEW CLAW on each of his back feet.

Is a polydactyl cat on all 4 paws rare?

(I had to compare to see if our other cat had this "extra" toe on her back feet - but she doesn't!)

Hi Toby! One of my brofurs had extra toes on all 4. It's not as common as just 2, but it does happen!

Actually, kitties do have dew claws on all four feet, but they may just be so small that they're hardly noticeable.
