You are a forgiving loving delight.

I found the book on Amazon for about $9. Actually you find a lot of recommended cat/rawfed books there for a lot cheaper if you aren't opposed to buying "used" as opposed to new. I have numerous used books are are very much new - they are just missing the original wrapping. And some of the new books are super cheap too. Damn, I type too much. ::hahaha::

I have advanced MS and inclined to lose my mind - which I do miss when I notice it's absence. Forgive me - I might have confused this with another post. Still, your baby is lovely.

Y'all are all fantastic. Love you, you brilliant loving - cat lovers!!! And huge kudos to the multiple cat people. You are wonderful for doing it for all the cats.

As for the thawing, if it takes overnight that is not a problem. And warm water is good. Just NEVER use a microwave. When I commented about leaving it out, some folks leave it out for days and that's where the trouble - grows. Some will make a batch and either just leave a month in the frig or a week on the counter. Ick.

Don't stress it. You all know innately what is good and what is bad food because you are here ergo you are brilliant!

Lucky is gorgeous. A fat raspberry to the troll.

OK, y'all look at Amazon. It has the book for a very low price. AND if you want some serious non "official" feedback on rawfed, talk to a breeder!

As for official research/white papers, it is still a relatively new accepted thing amongst vets. Bottom line, the depends on how you prepare it. I personally got my little library as suggested by Anne at catnutrition.org. Love the books and got them off Amazon as well. Cheap. Plus Dr. Lisa Pierson has a great website.

I'm just sayin'

All the ladies above me (me the exception) are wonderful and have great advice. And do I hear you about the cost of meats.

Let me clarify my costs. Yes, it's about $28 a week. (I have a lot of cats). I get the chicken thigh-and-legs from a local processor. I get organ meats from an Hispanic market (pretty inexpensive too) and I have on hand the usual vitamins/supplements, etc. I find that white meat (chicken) is too dry and papers say that is has less Taurine. Plus my cats just won't eat it ::hahaha::

I wish you much success in feeding your cats raw and I know you will be happy with the results.

Darn it! Whisper still cannot type! Yeah, let's blame it on the cat. ::hehehe::

I meant $28 a week, not month.

For just under 20 cats it costs about $28 per month - they will eat ONLY chicken. I fed them twice a day too.
