Somehow my last post got garbled when I tried to edit it.

Just found a video review of the Petflow Spoiled Rotten cat box for December at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPEActzsfA0
It had food samples, toys, a brush, and a "I love my cat" bracelet.
According to PetFlow the boxes have $40 worth of products for only $25.
The food was from EVO (1 5.5oz can of Chicken/turkey) and from Stella & Chewy's (2 .8oz samples, 1 duck 1 turkey)
It also had a Pet Naturals hairball control treats pouch.

I'm no expert but I would suggest that the pain and trauma of having major surgery would cause fear induced aggression in any cat. The main thing is to keep him topped up on his pain meds, do whatever you can to make him more comfortable (if possible) and keep an eye on him from a distance. Most likely with time when he gets over the trauma he will be back to normal.

Certain types of litter can also aggravate allergies. Dust mites also.

Food & Nutrition > Are fish flavors bad for cats?

from an article:
Besides mercury, there are other problems with feeding a fish-only diet to your cat. Fish used in canned pet foods are high in phosphorus and magnesium. For cats with a history of urinary tract infections or kidney disease, this can be an issue.

And while your kitty may seem "addicted" to her favorite fish, many cats actually are sensitive or even allergic to fish. In fact, fish ranks as a top food allergen (because of the high level of histamines).

Finally, tuna and other fish contain relatively large amounts of unsaturated fats. While we humans eat these fish to be healthy and decrease our consumption of saturated fats, excessive unsaturated fat may actually be harmful to cats.

To be on the safe side, feed your feline companion a well-balanced diet with variety, and try to limit fish to once a week.

Cats and a Clean Home > Walnut cat litter

From the ASPCA:
BLACK Walnut
Scientific Name: Juglans nigra
Family: Juglandaceae
Where Found: Native to Northeastern U.S. and Canada.
Toxicity: Toxic to Horses, Non-Toxic to Cats, Toxic to Dogs

This litter uses English walnut shells. NOT BLACK walnut shells.

I am trying this litter to see if it will help with Pudgy's allergies and I like it so far except for the price.
