Congrats, Nicola for Diary of the Day. And made yourself quite at home, too. laugh out loud

Well, I guess we had better sign off. Will try to come back in a hour, but have a good weekend if we can't.

Pepper's Mom called this afternoon. She's hoping for internet by the end of this month and coming back to handle the football pool.

Kind of odd: they said maintenance at 10 p.m. CST. Usually they go by Pacific time.

I think they have fixed other stuff already. We're not getting any of the spam over on Dogster like before.

Do take her to the vet to have a checkup. Your vet can answer many of your questions about your kitten's health. With her being so small I would suggest limiting her to one or two rooms only when you are not home. Favorite playthings for kittens/cats are paper bags (remove the handles), cardboard boxes that she can get in and out of. Feathers and/or string are favorite playthings but only with your supervision as both can be accidentally swallowed and choked on. Make sure the toys she plays with don't have any small parts that she can swallow.

Be sure she can't get into cabinets that have cleaning products that she can swallow. Keep the toilet lid closed while she is little so she can't fall in and drown.

Now shelters want all the animals spayed/neutered before they are adopted and they need to weigh at least 2 pounds to be able to handle anaesthesia but many veterinarians think it's better to wait to 4-6 months of age. Personally, I prefer to wait to 4-6 months of age but I am very responsible and will have the procedure done.

Yes, our sewer rates are higher than our water rates and that's not right since not all the water we use goes down the sewer.

And it doesn't help to cut back on utilities to cut your bills down. When Mom and Momsmom were in Chicago they lived in a 2 apartment house with Mom's aunt in the other apartment. Mom had 2 small a/c window units going while her aunt had only a window fan and her aunt's electric bill was only a few $$$ less than Mom's.
