Saying Goodbye: Memorials & Support > Our human boy died

Bunnie and I are very sad because our human Boy, Philip, only 18, passed away on October 25, 2009. He took his own life. I am not sure what to do because I miss him and I am pouting a lot. Mommy has left some of his dirty clothes on his bed for me to sleep on but it is not the same without my Boy. Mommy says he is in Heaven but I don't understand why my Boy isn't home anymore. Boy's school has started a memorial scholarship fund in his name: Christian Home & Bible School Mount Dora Floria: "Philip Hooks Scholarship Fund." Mommy has a post on www.regiftable.com about how she donated Boy's eyes, skin, bones, and other things to help people. Mommy and Daddy cry a lot. Many strange people are in the house. Grandma (a non-cat person) is living with us. We would all appreciate your purrs and prayers.

Here's a happy-ending story about a cat who saved his owner's life by waking her up when she lost consciousness due to a life-threatening illness.

Mommy was in the hospital for five days after I bited her while playing. She had a bad bruise (not from me!) on her leg and I bited her next to that so her leg was already at risk for infection. She got cellulitis, staff infection, and went septic. Mommy has been home for a week, but Mommy's leg is not getting any better. It is about the same as it was (actually a little worse) than when she came home from the hospital. The pain hurts her so much! The medicine is keeping the infection from getting bigger, but isn't taking it away. Mommy got an appt at a wound care center but not until Friday. She begged for an earlier appt so maybe a cancellation will come up. I am doing by part by sleeping with her during her day naps (even missing my "porch time" to do this) and giving her extra kissies. Please purr for my mommy Michelle.

Today Mommy was at the store. She saw a woman she knew. The woman had a teeny, tiny, itty, bitty, kitty in her hand in a washcloth. It was barely big enough to be a kitty. It was about the size of two mousies. Little Kitty was born stuck to its brothers/sisters. Only two kitties remain. The vet had to cut the poor kitties apart. This kitty doesn't look too good. It's fur mommy won't love it, so the human mommy is not letting it out of her sight. She is feeding it and loving it. Poor little kitty! It was a black and white kitty. Purrs please for this little guy. And for its furbling that the mommy kitty will feed and love.

Catster Lifestyle, News & Entertainment > Man Arrested After Cat Finds Child Porn Stash

AUSTIN — They say curiosity killed the cat — but one Texan feline's exploration of its new home helped uncover a huge stash of child porn.

The cat was snooping around its new flat in Austin, Texas, when it came across a gap in the wall.

The woman who owns the cat remarked on it to a friend, who put his hand into the gap and found a number of DVDs apparently hidden by the apartment's previous owner.

She took the discs to the police who discovered they contained child porn.

Officers tracked them to Luis Jimenez, who had moved out of the apartment some time earlier.

They say he probably forgot about the discs when he moved from the house.

Jimenez, 24, has been charged with possession of child pornography and was being held on $40,000 bail. Possession of child pornography is a third-degree felony punishable by up to 10 years in jail and a fine up to $10,000. There was no attorney listed in Jimenez's jail file Friday.

Ebay has "cat emergency rescue stickers" for sale. That search will bring you up to a listing with many choices. A company, Sundogsdecals, has specific cat breeds for sale. Click on any of the listed sticker, even if it isn't your breed, and scroll down. There are instructions how to order your exact breed of cat sticker. Other companies have generic "rescue my cat" stickers for sale on Ebay.

Of course, we kitties can't hide or we won't be saved, but at least if the fire isn't too terrible, the firemen will know to LOOK. I saw something one time about a firefighter who gathered family pictures off walls and tables if she was able to do so safely.
