	Aw, poor Gir! Yes, I think Boris is right. Gir is just really anxious, sad and confused that his human is gone. I noticed Gir is 10 years old. There is a Catster group called "Olde Furts" that might be helpful to you. Here is the "clickable" link: Olde Furts when you get there you can just ask the administrators fur an invitation and I can guarantee you will receive an invitation within a day or two. That group may be furry helpful to you in the future too since you have not previously owned a kitty. Good luck! Oh, and um.... I like to supervise all of mommy's bathroom activities...

	NoWi, My mommy has left a full bowl of chow (then a self feeder) then back to a bowl out fur me and my sisfur 24/7 since we were kittens. At furst, of course, it was kitten chow. But we graduated...oh... 'bout 13 years ago. We will be 14 in January. We eat Purina One, either the hairball formula or the sensitive systems, whichever is at the grocery. I know, that's not glamorous like what some Catster kitties get to eat, but we seem to have done well on it and we have no known health issues, age-related or otherwise as of yet. I'm just a wee bit on the "pleasingly plump" side and sisfur Emily is svelte. So you might try just letting NoWi eat as much as he likes. If he starts getting too chubby, you can cut back. Oh, and we still eat moths! When we can catch them that is...

	I think you are right Tasha. I had neffur heard of "crush videos" until a listened to a story on NPR about this case. But there are a lot of complications with ruling all depictions of animal cruelty illegal. The biggest one seems to be hunting. I'm not a fan of hunting, myself. Unless the animal has no natural predator around and the huntin is needed to keep the herd from having deaths related to overpopulation issues like disease and starvation.
