Cat Health > Cancer....Need to Talk
RADDY (my- heart's- darling)
I am still my- Meouwmy's- Beloved.... |
| Purred: Tue May 7, '13 3:09am PST | | | | | Dear Cinders' Meouwmy.....Hi...it is Janet here....I thought when you started writing this thread that it would come to this for Cinders....but, and I do know, you've got to try as much as you can to see if you can make it better (that seems to be the FIRST thing you have to do).....the SECOND thing you have to do is to start a process of acceptance in yourself (and it does come)....the THIRD thing is to BE WITH YOUR ANIMAL-FRIEND when the vet helps them to go to Rainbow Bridge....with my cats that I have seen over the Bridge, I cuddle them, put my nose to their nose and sing to them....have to tell you that in my experience they go easily....also, I think, if you can be left to cuddle and stroke when they are gone...I think it would help...when Conrad went over the Bridge, the vet took him away from me too quickly afterwards...the FOURTH thing is to do what seems good to you for their (and your) rite of passage (THE RITE OF PASSAGE IS VERY IMPORTANT AND CAN BE HEALING)....I can give you some good hints and tiny bits of (possible) wisdom from my own experience, if you would like? Let me know, if you wish, and I can paw mail you.....the FIFTH thing to do, I have found...and this is only my experience...write...write...about Cinders...from Cinders...do her a diary page or a blog...about her or from her or answering in her name to questions and answers.....The Ancient Egyptians (who...ehhhhh - by the way -...also 'worshipped cats') believed that if your name was seen and was spoken, you would live on.....so continue to speak her name?
So much love to you and to Cinders....so much love....

| Purred: Tue Apr 23, '13 3:09am PST | | | | | Oh so much good luck and good thoughts to you, Kitty Pryde and the feral boy.....I so hope he will let you keep him....but it may be that he will want to be out all the time, but will come to you for food...my stepdaughter has a feral cat like that...but, Oh I hope he will let you keep him....
But, as you say....one day at a time...

ps. Jimmy was the stray (not feral) that we caught in a cat-trap 2 and a half years ago.....

It's really weird that this thread is ALSO there from 'a new member'...!! Well, whatever, it is from ME...JAN...Tambi's Meouwmy.....
Have to say that I am sad to have so few replies....yes, I know...NO-ONE wants to give their cat Metacam....I don't....but when you get a 'poor creeping thingy' like Miss Lillie was, with her arthritis, what do you do?
Please someone, somepeople, somecats, someferrets, hamsters, angola rabbits etc..PLEASE tell the Meouwmy that she is doing the right thing, giving the metacam to Auntie Miss Lillie.....

Cat Health > Keratinization on Paw??
Tambolina
No...the magic- is still- here...!!! |
| Purred: Thu Apr 18, '13 5:25am PST | | | | | I have just looked 'Keratinization' up on Wikipedia....it would seem that loads of bits and pieces of animals are made of 'keratin'....nails, horns etc.....OOhhh and also (maybe) bits and pieces of dinosaurs too...!!
Don't know why your kitty is growing this 'thingy' on her paw....but it does not sound dangerous....
Please let me know what happens with her.....

I get cuddles- 'on tap'...... |
| Purred: Sun Apr 14, '13 5:19am PST | | | | | Hi...!! Jan here...!! I have just written on 'Cat Health' about someone who needs to have their cat's teeth looked at....yes/no/maybe? I have A LOT to say about anaesthesia and kitties' teeth.....
BUT my...my.....don't know what to call it? My...well...I suppose it is my 'GRIPE'......is that there are so many kitties and kitty-carers who say: 'Metacam....NO WAY...
Lillie has METACAM every day (and about 20 temptation litle biccies too)....and her arthritis is BETTER....although not quite right....
Her life will be shorter...I imagine....BUT please, dear ones, when you talk about METACAM.....PLEASE do not do an 'EEkkkkk Knee-Jerk Reaction' Have a think about it and tell me what you have come up with? For, it is, indeed, a question of 'life and death'.....of living and dying, of having a 'goodtime' or of suffering.....have a look and a think about this....please.....
