Thanks for posting the info. I also am on the look out for a tracking device that has a long lasting battery or needing no battery. I have a pet loc8tor on my furs at the moment and it's been working ok for a number of years now, but it is limited in range. One problem I have is the recharging of the batteries on those GPS ones, as the ones I saw needed charging weekly. Great to see that one will last up to 4 months. The one I use on the cats also need their batteries changed and I have to watch that. And I worry if they go missing when the units are at the end of their battery life.

Have you looked at cat fences or catios?

http://www.purrfectfence.com/

Or Catios?

https://www.google.co.nz/search?q=catios&tbm=isch&tbo=u&s ource=univ&sa=X&ved=0CBwQsARqFQoTCM6-hYz32MYCFWUqpgod500AFw&biw=1920 &bih=969

They might be an idea and if you rent you maybe able to get one that you can take down.

I brought a large dog run for our chickens since they are making a huge mess of the garden.

Some of these (the steal ones) can be taken down but you'll need one with a roof

Just an idea.smile

Our kitties are also indoor / outdoor. We have also made sure we are a good distance from any roads.

WHAT a "DOG" you paw thing. Make sure you tell them who's bossway to go steal their bed and make sure they get the blame for everything.

Mr D peeed on me while I was sleeping which was way out of character so I took him to the vet to find out he had a UTI. I suppose it was his way of saying he needed help. But it is good to mention it as some think their cats are just been naughty red face

If you have a black light touch that's handy to spot the urine. I brought mine on line and it's a very handy thing to have in the cupboard. then try this

good luck

But they also recommend testing an area first to make sure you don't have any reactions to previous products or the floor itself.thinking

hug So sorry, it's so hard when their time is called. Kitty would have felt your love and and they will still live with you in your heart. I also found it hard when our old boy needed to go. It's such a hard decision.

I hope you find Bo. Here's some ideas from other Catsters on what you can try....http://www.catster.com/forums/group/thread/523240 if the link doesn't work there maybe a gap in the title. if you remove them then press enter it should work,

It's for a group here on Catster the purrs and woofs for the missing. have a look around in the links and in the threads. there's heaps of ideas.
I wish you all the best.
