Sindri I'm a meerkat! moderator     Purred: Tue Oct 27, '09 9:28am PST  If you haven't yet tried Cat Attract by Precious Cat you definitely should because it has worked wonders in my house. I had two cats who would pee in inappropriate places, but once I started using Cat Attract (and after I used Nature's Miracle to clean the places where the kitties had peed), the inappropriate urination stopped and everyone used their litter boxes. I have three cats and five litter boxes, and I clean them at least twice a day. Luna won't use the box if she notices that someone else has already used it - and I don't blame her for not wanting to step in another cat's clump. So, if you haven't tried Cat Attract (or regular Precious Cat or any other litter mixed with the Cat Attract Additive), you definitely should! Also, for cats with litter box aversion (and I realize your cat doesn't have this problem because he will use the box but maybe to some degree he does since he often goes in other places) I have read many recommendations that their litter boxes be uncovered. I am sorry you are going through this with your kitty. Love, Angel Lucky Boo PS: Mom went home last weekend and saw Sir Thomas (he lives with Grandmaw and Grandpaw). He's doing great! He's getting around just fine and he doesn't seem to have any lasting effects from his amputation. He doesn't like too much to have his stump touched, but it doesn't seem to bother him at all. Mom took Luna for her yearly checkup last week, and Dr. Gary says she's purrfectly healthy even though she's obese. He said there isn't much that can be done for her weight but that she's not in danger of any serious problems other than diabetes, which can be treated if she gets it. The exam took place in the room where I was taken on that last trip to the vet, so it was rough for Mom. She sat in the chair holding Luna the same way she had held me nearly a year ago. She really was thankful to know that la Luna is healthy (she's 7, so Mom was kind of worried since that makes her a senior). my posts | my page | msg me | my family's posts | gift me | become friends

Muppet, I'm hoping you feel better soon from your operation. Skinner, I had FeLV too and FIP. I lived with them both for 26 months after diagnosis. I had several really bad URIs during that time (three, I think), and I was able to bounce back from each one with antibiotics. Hopefully you will get over your stuffy nose soon too.
