When momma got me, she put me on the Blue Wilderness kitten and I had very stinky poopies and smelly air biscuits (that's what she call them), I call them plain ol' farts.

She does not feed it to me anymore and I stink no more. Okay, I stink but not as bad.

My momma says from what she can tell from the pictures, she's got big feet and tuffs between her toes like me, ear tuffs like me, "lynx" tips like me but mine are longer not that I am bragging and she's got long whiskers which I don't have yet because I am still a kid.

She really looks like me and could be a MC or mix. We make very good companions. Thanks for saving a relative of mine.

FYI, the "M" on the forehead does not mean they are Maine Coons. Majority if not all cats that are tabbies have the "M" on their forehead. I have a Manx that has the "M" on her forehead, she is definitely not a Maine Coon.

Cat Health > Hyperthyroidism >^..^< (cross post in Seniors too)

I had a hyperthyroid too for a couple of years. I was on 10mg methimazole chews twice daily. My T4 levels were still high and I was not gaining any weight so Mom and Dad thought I would benefit with the radioactive therapy. Boy, were they right. It was scary being away from home for a week but I made the best of it. After the therapy, my levels have dropped significantly back to a normal level and I have gained weight. It was expensive but Mommy and Daddy know I am worth every penny.

I had a hyperthyroid and was taken methemazole chews for 2 years - 10 mg twice a day. My T4 numbers were not getting any better so my mom and dad decided to send me to do the radioactive iodine treatment. That was in February '11. I unfortunately had to go back for a second treatment since the first one treatment was not enough. Today I am about 4 pounds heavier. My momma calls me 'chunky' now. It was an expensive treatment but it would be cheaper in the end if I continued with the chews.

just to update... Momma took me to the vet yesterday. My Dr. says that I'm okay. She said the puking had something to do the irratation of the stomach???? I can't remember all what she said as I was busy trying to find a place to hide. Talk about STRESS!!! The good news are my kidneys are fine, I'm well hydrated and I'm at a good weight and overall I am okay. The bad news is two molars need to be extracted. That could be be culprit. They hurt a bit but they are in really bad shape. The Dr. wants them removed before bacteria spreads into my body. I go in for the procedure in less that 2 weeks.
Other than that, I haven't puked in a couple of days so momma is happy with that.

I'll you posted after the extractions.

Thanks all for caring! My momma's made a appointment with the vet. I'm really dreading that visit. I don't like the carrier;I don't like the car ride and I definately don't like to be poked and prodded. But who does? Wish me luck.

Thanks again.
