Why is it that when ever i have been looking for something on Catster, that I get a big Pop up for Dogster? I have nothing against Dogster I even like Dogs, but having a huge pop up of either a ad for Dogster or for Dog food is extremely annoying. frown

Thanks Charles, Since speaking to her. I have not heard the kitty, mewing. And I did get to see how they were doing since her mother came by. And they were happily scratching away at thier post. So it seems the problem has resolved its self. And IMO says thank you for the gift. And I am pleased to make your aquaintance as well. wave

Behavior & Training > What is the right age to leave a kitten alone?

My reason for this question is that, I have a neighboor who has two kittens, one is older and the other is a few mos old. And her owner, works and has quite an active social life, and it seems that she stays gone overnight most of the times. She does take care of them food and water and vet care. But I have been outside on my balcony. (live in an apt building) and hear the youngest one Mewing it is so pathetic sounding I know that this poor baby is lonely. I have talked to her owner about this. And have tried to be as civil and as nice as possible. But it just breaks my heart to hear this baby crying for some attention. I dont want to be a buttinsky. Just want to help. I dont think that she would want me to interfere or I would offer to keep her baby company while she goes overnight. Plus the owners mom does have a key too so maybe i should let her know. Maybe she can give some comfort too. Thankskitty

Cat Health > Cat has worm in poo, why type of worm is this and what do I do?

Well my suggestion, would be if your kitty has been treated for parasitical worms in the past. It may be that he needs to continue with the de worming medication. Or that it could be that it is a different type of parasite. But most vets would like you to bring in a stool sample for them to look at under a microscope to determine what type it is. And prescribe the right type of medication to destroy it. Good luck I sure hope that your vet finds the right meds and that your kitty will be on the mend soon.kitty

Behavior & Training > jealousy in my cat Poppy.

My five year old cat Poppy, did something totally inapropriate tonight. I had my kitten Imo sleeping on my lap, and as soon as she saw this she deliberatly backed her behind up to my wood roll top desk and started urinating on the bottom drawer. I was flabbergasted. She knew that this was wrong and not normal behavior for her. I know that she was expressing her Jealousy of Imo, because she does not like sharing my attention with Imo. I picked her up after my anger had subsided and loved her up. Wow if what she did was not an act of Jealousy I dont what is. She let me know exactly how she felt. I want all my kitties to know that I love them all the same What should I do along with showing her more attention that I havent changed in my love for her. shock

Thanks Gizmo, I am happy to report that IMO, is still with us. Steve did not have the heart to take him to the shelter. And also his behavior has mellowed out. He is getting better at not biting as much. But he does hear NO when he acts like this. And your advice is very much welcomed and greatly appreciated. And Imo,will be getting neutered in Jan. And I hope that after this gets done that his agressive behavior will improve dramatically.cheer

Thanks Gizmo, that is good advice. but it isnt just my other cats that are being terrorized by him. My guy is not getting any sleep, due to the fact that the kitten is attacking his feet and biting him as well. He is also tearing the house up with his constant clawing of my bed and furniture. And yes he has a scratching post as well as a kitty condo. My hubby is really fed up with his behavior and wants him to go to a shelter, as he has lost all patience with him.
Also this kitten came to us as a stray. And iam thinking he may have some issues with that as well. It is becoming too much for our household. There is no peace and we have tried
to resolve the issues.

Hi everyone. I just recently added a new member to my kitty family. But I am having some behavior issues with him. He is four mos old and is constantly attacking my three older cats. He is not aggressive but it is more like he is just being irritating and wont leave them alone. He has toys to play with and I do as well, But he wont stop being a pain to other three.

What Can I do to stop his behavior to my other three cats. Help Please!

First of all I would say to you why would you want to get rid of your kitties. Who has been with you the longest the cats or the boyfriend.
I would suggest that you get rid of the boyfriend. And find a guy who is also going to love both you and the kitties. I am lucky that I have a guy who loves my kitties. And there are men out there who will love you and the cats just as much.
