Hi my name is Jake. I just recently came here to the Rainbow bridge. I lived a nice long life but my family that I left behind is really sad. My fur sister is having a hard time adjusting. She hasn't really eaten and she won't hardly get out of her crate. We used to play a lot before I got really sore. I've been there for her whole life and now she just isn't herself. Is there anything that Mom can do to help her cope?

My fursister needed a lot of extra attention the first few days. My mom gave her lots of love and comfort. We are a little opposite here, because she came into the family first, and I always had her. If she had gone to the Bridge before me, I'm not sure I would have coped too well. Just tell your mom to show her as much love and compassion as she can. She is hurting now too. hug's to your family during this difficult time.

Mom followed your advice and Good News! My fursister is doing a little better. Mom is spoiling her with some canned food and cooking for her. She's not eating like she usually does but it's hard to resist when Mom cooks. Mom doesn't have to talk her out of her crate anymore either. I think in a few more days my sister will be even better.
