How do you know when it is time to make that hard hard decision. I am afraid my sweet boy is suffering. He gets his shots and they help for about two days, and then he starts sliding backwards again. Do we keep up this roller-coaster for as long as he can "take it?" It is so hard to think about taking him into his vet for the final time.

Aww,that is such a sad and hard thing to talk about. These are mommie's thoughts.
If you are not eating for a few days even when being hand fed ect, AND you are hiding most or all of the time And you are having trouble walking then it is probably time.Usually, a kitty with all these behaviors is getting ready to go on his own.
There is a good article posted somewhere about when is the right time. I will see if I can find it. Purring for you and your mom

My mom talked to e doctor about this Question and he said qhen my "quality of life is gone." Mom isn't sure what that means. She says she doesn't want to put me through all this if it's just for her sake and not the best thing for me. I wish I could do something to make her feel better, she is so sad all the time. It made her reallly happy today to find out I was made Cat of the Day. So for today I don't have to worry about her and I can take lots of naps.
