Hi, i'm Donna, from the Philippines. I have a 2-y/o shih-tzu, Cinnamon. He's a very loving , sweet and energetic dog. But in 2 years that he stayed with us, there's one thing that i can't change about him and it bothers me so much. He's non-stop urinating. Whenever i let him inside the house he urinates NON-STOP, i mean almost EVERYWHERE! every corner he sniffs then he urinates at it. So i wish you could help me, i don't want him using diapers whenever he's in our room. Thanks.

by the way, sorry for my bad English. smile

Your english is just fine! Crate him...use one big enough for him to stand, stretch out & lay down in...but make sure to include a play, eat, drink schedule. I know it sounds hard but it does work. As soon as he comes out of the crate...take him outside to potty. You have to do this every time. As soon as he eats/drinks...back in the crate for about 20 minutes...then outside to potty. Always, always supervise him! Also keep him to a limited area that you can slowly increase over time. I hope this helps

In addition to the other response, make sure you take your dog out much more frequently than you are used to (exercise and pee and poop time). You must also rule out urinary tract infection by having him checked by a veterinarian. If undetected, a urinary tract infection can lead to serious kidney disease.

There is an episode of Dog Whisperer (in Las Vegas) of the dog Fluffy who kept peeing all over the house, too. And Fluffy wouldn't walk, either. So, Cesar figured out how to get the dog to walk, and then the owners learned to take the dog out for longer and more frequent walks.

For other suggestions, go to cesarsway.com, and click "community" near the top, then "forums". This group on Dogster is very inactive.
