Okay, have to say I am so in love with this puppy that I am thinking of getting another from the same breeder. I was originally looking for a golden girl and came across our Jaxon! I didn't care he was a boy or black & tan because he was just perfect. His breeder just informed me she has a golden girl 5 weeks old that will be ready for a family in February. I am thinking it would be great and he would have a friend to keep him company when we go out without him. My hubby says why mess with the perfect dog and he is fine alone. What are your opinions? Do you have 1 or 2? I can pretty much convince my hubby to agree with anything with a little persuasion.....but is it best for our boy Jaxon??? He was born 10/28/10. Thanks for any input!! laugh out loud

I had a similar situation so I would like to share with you my thoughts on this as well as my vet and his staff. First of all your Jaxon is ABSOLUTELY DARLING!!!smile I can see why you would want another as did I with in 6 months of my Lexi. My Lexi was like your Jaxon, she was the love of my life and still is, I know what your husband means when he says the "perfection thing", I wondered the same thing with mine but I felt she needed a buddy that could talk her language etc...if you will... so I asked the vet and his staff...they didn't even let me finish the question when they said,"YES, Lexi would enjoy a little play mate." I thought about this long and hard and did some reading etc. and 6 months later we got our little Morkie, Demi. It has NEVER been a mistake. The girls love each other dearly and I think thats maybe because they are close in age so they grew up together. The only caution I would have is it IS double the work when they are puppies. If you have someone to help you then that would alleveiate that problem. Good luck and please post whether you got another etc...I am new to this site but not new to dogs. Best of luck to you!
