diagnosed this week, is dying in front of me

	not sure if anyone is active in this group but i needed somewhere to go to talk about this. Poppy has been off her food for two weeks, we took her to the vet on Monday and by Wednesday we were told it was Leukemia and that she was very ill, her gums and cat lids were white instead of pink due to anemia. we brought her home today to try her on some steroids to see if she will respond to them and stay with us a bit longer, however I have been watching her all day and I feel like she is dying right in front of me, I keep waiting for her to just stop breathing, she doesnt eat or purr, she hardly sleeps, she just lays there and when i pick her up she is like a rag doll. We went in thinking she may have had a tummy bug or something, didnt realise three days later we would be looking at saying goodbye to her. Its so hard to watch her go through this, if the meds dont do anything for her in a couple of days then we will go back and have her put to sleep. sigh
