 | | | | Momma's spittin' mad at UPS. Momma ordered chocolate for Christmas, but UPS wouldn't leave the package at our condo! The first time they tried to deliver when Momma wasn't here, they left a note saying that they needed a signature. So Momma signed the release form and left it for them. The next day the note was gone, but no candy. So the following day, Momma checked the tracking number and it said they had made a second attempt but they left no notice. So Momma called and the center was supposed to call back Monday morning. They called while Momma was in the shower and left a message saying they couldn't leave the package outside the condo if the outside door was locked and they would call back after 11 if they couldn't deliver it. Well, that was Momma's night to work, so she was home until 11:30, but no delivery. When she got home that night, there was another note saying they had tried to deliver it between 2 and 5 (not 11!) and were sending it back!!! Momma called and tried to have it intercepted and held at the UPS center, but they didn't do it.
When Momma called the chocolate company, they told her they didn't require a signature, that was UPS, and that they would reship for her. But then when the nice lady tried to place the reshipping order, the mint chocolates were sold out!!!! They couldn't redirect the package that was being returned, so because of UPS, Momma didn't get her favorite chocolates for Christmas!
The funniest thing is that yesterday when UPS couldn't deliver, FedEx had no problem leaving a package for us! Momma say UPS stands for
U People S***!!!!
So Momma's posting here to let all of you wonderful merchants know so the same thing doesn't happen to your customers. If you need to ship to someone in an apartment or condo, use FedEx or the good old US Postal Service. They deliver through rain or shine, sleet or snow, or locked lobby doors. | | | | |
