For those of us living in the northern hemisphere, the days are getting shorter and shorter as winter approaches. Are you affected by the changing day length at all? What about your humans?
the day length is less a problem compared to the cold! i try to catch every ray of sunshine but it doesn't warm me anymore...
i know human hates both so i do not let her know i consider it funny when she has problems with the darkness. for example when i watch her fumbling for the reading lamp's button because she once more had forgotten to turn on the light before closing the curtains. their eyes are so imperfect and inferior.
With the time change I wake mom up earlier than I did before for my breakfast and with the darkness coming earlier it gives more time for prowling around the house.
Mom says she finds the days to drag, it doesn't surprise me that she said that, she likes to complain. *giggles*
After a long hot Texas summer, Mom enjoys the cooler weather and so do I. It makes me more "frisky," and I run all over the apartment playing and generally acting crazy (so Mom says). Mom also loves getting that extra hour of sleep when the time changes. It takes a little time to adjust to the shorter days, but other than that, we enjoy this time of year.
Meow, I don't like it one bit. That means rain is coming and that limits my outside time and forces me to be indoors with the Pest. I also don't like it cause mom and dad don't spend as much time in the garden with me. It's dark now when dad comes home, so he doesn't get to play in the garden either!
Our weather hasn't changed all that much. It's still pretty hot during the daytime, but the evenings are a little cooler. We average mid 70s overnight. I get a little more frisky in the cooler weather.
It's dark by about 6:00 now, but I can see just about as well at night as I can during the day, so it doesn't make much difference to me. Mom and dad go to bed earlier and I sleep with them - and I love to sleep, so it's all good!
It doesn't bother me one way or the other--I can see outside whether it's day or night. The only thing is that since night comes earlier, that's less flying time for the daytime birds that haven't flown south for the winter--so I don't get to watch them as much!
Mom and dad don't like the dark evenings, though, so I have to cheer them up. They do spend more time indoors, which I think is great!
