I will remind Mom to walk rather than use the car for short errands and if she does use the car to plan her route so that she goes in a circle rather than jumping from one place to another..This will save gas and yucky emmissions....

Thanks to my furblings and D-Max fur their pledges.... all great! applause

My pledge is to find ways to reduce waste with meals, chossing not to buy take out in styrofoam or plastic containers and using normal cutlery instead of plastic...

I made sure that Mom recycled the old unused photographic chemicals when she cleared out the cellar rather than send them to the landfill to contaminate the ground or dump them into the sink drain to poison the fish in the Chesapeake Bay area....

dancing That's excellent Midnight!!!! Keep chemicals out of the drain—
I know lots of families who have replaced bleach with 1 cup of baking soda for washing laundry... there's also non-chlorine, chlorine-free or hydrogen peroxide bleaches. Another tip I just heard about is to replace fabric softener with ½ cup vinegar to the rinse cycle.... worth a try!

Although mom & dad use re-usable shopping bags, they also accept plastic bags because mom takes them to the Humane Society - they use them to pickup after the doggies when they walk them and they're always in need of them.
