I asked Gabby if she would like to go to the movies with me and she said yes...sigh...I am the luckiest angel kitty in the entire world! I got permission from her brother first...he is very protective of her...and he is much bigger than me...so I'm gonna stay on that big dudes good side! I call him "SIR"!
We are gonna go see the Lion King...cause neither of us have seen it...and my brother and Uncle Toulouse highly recommend it...giggles! We're taking the yellow convertible with the built in popcorn machine. I am so excited...I can't wait...we go tomorrow...sigh!

I sat up in the big living room window watching the sky all night. It was easy to spot MAK's lantern - It was the brightest light in the sky and never wavered!

My eyes grew heavy and I may have slept a little, but every time that I looked up at the sky there was MAK's lantern.
(He told me today that he held an umbrella to keep the rain from putting out his lantern)
Oh squeee! He's so handsome, charming and.... Clever

Imagine my surprise when Nuk finished with the computer today and he told me with a wink "that he thinks I should take my turn next"
So I sat down and up popped a message from MAK. Wishing me good morning and asking me if I wanted to go see a movie with him.

Oh do I? I sure do! Being a perfect gentleman he then asked me "if there was any movie that *I* wanted to see?"
I was so excited to be talking again to Mak and that he was asking me to a movie that my paws had trouble typing and my mind went blank and I couldn't think of a single movie that I wanted to see.

He suggested that we go see The Lion King. Well before I could stop them my paws were confessing that I had never seen The Lion King in its entirety. (When I saw it with my Tennessee family I fell asleep sometime during it.)

MAK said we'd be going to a drive in in Wilson's big yellow auto!
It even has a popcorn machine built into it and it's a convertible!
How cool is that? We can put the top down and let the wind ruffle our fur and sing along to The Lion King songs to our hearts content.

What a fabulous day of firsts tomorrow is going to be. Am I just the luckiest girl or what? I shall be simply radiant just from having that handsome, dashing, MAK beside me.
Hmmm I wonder if I should wear my rainbow collar or my pink & green collar from Uncle Toulouse?

I thought I would be napping today. It's all grey and rainy here. Perfect weather really for sleeping after a long night of Lantern Watching.
But while I'm *dreamy* - I certainly don't feel so sleepy now.
*squeee*

*Morty heads to find Wilson and tell him what has happened.

I've never been on a date before...I've never even thought of going on a date before!

*He wonders what has come over himself...all he can think of is Gabby...ever since he met her last weekend!

Wilson...brother you must help me...I can't think right...I'm lost ???

*Wilson takes MAK by the shoulders and gives his brother a reassuring hug. He wants to laugh at Morty, but knows that this is not a good idea. Morty is much too sensitive to do that to...and Wilson would not want to hurt his feelings !

Morty...take it easy fella. Why are you so nervous? Listen up little bro...let your big brother give you some advice.

*Mort stops fretting and pays close attention to what Wilson is saying. He starts to calm down.

You are such a nice guy...you need to just be yourself and you will be fine. It's Ok to be a little goofy....*Wilson gives MAK a wink But not too goofy! Gabby already has been around you and she likes you...so why are you so nervous? You like her...don't you?

Oh yes Wilson...I like her a whole bunch. *Saying this makes Morty smile.
I have been sleeping in the sky above her house...holding my lantern all night so she can see where I am...sigh
When she goes to sleep...I go to the window and look in at her...you know...she sleeps with her little pink tongue hanging out...it's so cute!

*As Mort goes on he starts to feel a bit calmer about going to the movies tomorrow...after all...he will be with her...and that makes him very happy.

I feel better already bro...sooooo ...can I use the yellow limo?

*Wilson chuckles at the request and he wonders if his brother went through all that just so he could borrow the car

Oh MAK...of course you can...I just had it cleaned, washed and waxed.
*Toulouse ate in it

Let's load it up with Drive-In stuff right now.

*Wilson and Morty head to the garage and they stock the car with plenty of popcorn, sodas, hot dogs and Bon Bons. Wilson also stocks the trunk with food and drinks.

Morty...the stuff in the trunk is there....... *Wilson tries to make up something quick
In case you need extra stuff...you know how you and Gabby like to snack...alot!
*Wilson is satisfied that the car is ready.
Ok MAK...it's ready to roll.

WAIT...You'll need pillows and blankets too!

*Wilson is just busting inside...he strains to hold back the laughter

Mort...calm down fella...No...you don't spend the night there. The pillows and blankets are to lean against and to keep you warm. Remember...you are outside at a Drive-In!
After the movie...you get to leave and take Gabby home. You know...to her home.
*Wilson makes sure that he is very explicit when he talks to Morty. MAK tends to be confused at times.
So is there anything else you need from me bro...cause I'm gonna turn in early tonight. Do you want to sleep here?

As Wilson heads toward the house...Morty calls out to him.

No thanks brother...I got somewhere to be tonight...but thank you for helping me get the car ready...and...giving me advice. I'm much better now!

*Morty smiles and waves goodnight to Wilson...grabs his lantern...and flies off.
He is glad that everything is ready to go...he knows that tomorrow will be a big day!

Wilson sees that Morty has gone...so he returns to the car and puts some pillows and blankets in the trunk as well. One for me...one for Nuk!
Wilson giggles ...places a phone call...then heads off to bed!
