Her birth name is Destiny Hope Cyrus. She has been known as Miley because as a child she was a "smiley" girl and the name stuck. She recently changed her name legally to Miley Ray Cyrus, the Ray is after her Dad, Billy Ray Cyrus.

Moonpye? If we don't know the answer to a question, is it OK to go out on the Internet and check it out? We can learn a lot from looking up the answers (like an open book quiz!)
