So I was wondering if any of you manx owners have had any problems with your cats leaving "presents" around the house? I've done the research, I know that rumpy's sometimes have a missing nerve or muscle around their backsides that cause problems with their pooping or sometimes they're just too smart for their own good and do it when they're upset - I'm just wondering what steps I should take in order to prevent or at least lessen the gift giving. I'm in love with my manx but not in love with cleaning up his poop everyday.

Our little manx has only been with us for about a month. After we rescued her, our vet also told us to watch out for pooping problems as rumpies can have nerve problems due to their tailess state. We've begun to find little marble sized "surprises" around the house, too. We don't know if this is behavioral or a medical condition as a result of being a manxshrug We have had her back to the vet since for other medical problems and the pooping doesn't appear to be constipation or otherwise related to her intestines. Sorry, no solutions here. I thought I would post our problem in empathy and perhaps commiseration.

milo has this problem sometimes in his case im not sure what it is.and since he has not realized that toilet paper is for butt wiping and not for shredding . He does the next best thing rubs his butt on the floor thank god it is tile and after i have his mess cleaned up it is then time for me to go after him with the scissors.because after he does that he has a couple of options clean it off him self which i have seen him do and you can tell he does not care forlaugh out loud walk around with stink on his butt. not acceptable or let mom cut the mess off he choses the lattersmile
