 | |  | | Sugar and I passed Basic Manners class and had our graduation on May 14! We are both so happy and want to celebrate with all our friends.
Sugar made lots of improvement in 7 weeks. The first class, she was panting from being nervous, and she stayed up on a lap where she felt safe. By the last class, she was walking around with everyone else, OFF LEASH!! 
Everyone called me the class clown, but I don't know WHY. I am a happy fearless fella, willing to try anything. I love to let everyone pet me so I had to make the rounds every week and stop at each owner. Plus, every time mom asked me to do something in class, I knew a treat was coming so I offered everything I know: sit, lie down, shake hands, spin. I mean, she wanted ONE of those, so I KNEW I earned my treat, right? 
We got certificates (for mom) and doggy pops for us. It was GREAT, I chewed mine right up, and so did my sister Sugar.
Sugar is all finished with classes now, mom just wanted her to gain some confidence. I am working on my CGC, and my instructor said I should try Agility! Oh, but she warned mom not to let me on the dog walk. I get too impulsive, offering all those behaviors, and I could fall off.Edited by author Thu May 15, '08 6:49pm PST
