Well, here's a "quick" version of my arrival...I actually started out right here in my neighborhood. I belonged to a neighbor around the corner...From a young age my other family let me play outside. Which was pretty cool...I could hunt & be on my own all I wanted. From then on, I wanted to be outside most of the time, but always looking to follow the humans around (outside). Before I reached my first birthday, my former family noticed that I was starting to look fat...yep, I became a mom & gave birth before my first birthday. My babies were born 5/18/07 & they were given up 8 weeks later. I was also due to be adopted out.
Just a little over 3 weeks ago, I chose my new home. It was over 90 degrees for three days in a row. I tried and tried to get into my new house, meowing at the door. "Please, can I stay here?" *meow*chirp* Those other kitties (my new brother & sister!) poked their noses to the glass door curiously at me. Would they ever accept me?? I never left the yard...
On that third hot, HOT day, mom broke into tears for me. She fed me, gave me cold water, & BEGGED Daddy to let me be theirs. Knowing that the neighbors were needing to give me up, they said "ok" to letting my new parents keep me!
My new vet gave me they works. (For a "free" cat I was expensive )I have been dewormed, shots, & spayed. Now I'm an indoor-only kitty with two bossy siblings & plenty of toys! Although I'll miss my babies, I am now the one being babied & pampered!
