Hi everyone. I thought it might be neat to share our humans' fav veg recipes. We call this one, Dinty More-Better-Than-Beef Stew.

Fry up some fake steak strips, such as Morningstar Steakstrippers. Chop 'em up and set them aside.

Boil some water and add a fake beef boullion (or just use veggie broth!). We use this stuff called "Better Than Beef" Boullion. Use this to boil your veggies (you know, potatoes, celery, onions, carrots- add barley if you like!)! We boil the veggies in a strainer submerged in the pot so they can be removed for the next step.

In a bowl, mix cornstarch with cold water to make a slurry. Use enough of each to make it look like watery glue. Whisk it into the broth (from which the veggies have been temporarily removed) and bring it to a high boil. Turn off heat and determine if it's thick enough for your taste! If not, bring it to a boil again and add more slurry. You can try to skip this step by adding soy milk if you want, too.

When the broth is just right, throw everything together and eat it!

That sounds yummy, thanks for sharing! We'd love ta see some of your other recipes too! Mom's not a cook, but she has a few "easy to make" vegetarian and vegan treats she has quite a lot. Just some simple things you can mix together. smile

Vegan Mushroom Pizza:
Just start with your basics for pizza (dough, tomato sauce, anything else you may like), add vegan cheese (mom uses three types on hers, gives it lots of flavor!) and mushrooms! Really simple, but oh so good way to go

Vegetarian bacon n' cheese Pizza:
(NOT VEGAN, but you could make it that way wink ) Mom uses a quick n' easy microwave pizza (just cheese; vegetarian of course) for this, and some Morningstar Farms vegetarian bacon for a topping. It's soo yummy!

Here's pictures of the two types of pizza:

For another 'quick snack' for those of us who like ta use the microwave, Cedarlane cheese quesadillas with veg bacon are also super tasty

Hey, if anyone has any veggie treats for cats n' pups, let us know! snoopy
