How Did You Get Your Unique Name?

It's always fun to share stories about how we got our interesting names!

I was adopted from a local animal rescue group, the Coalition for Animal Protection one day when my older bro, Bixit, went to the vet. I was there with my litter brothers and seemed outgoing enough. The car ride home must've traumatized me, though, because I hid in a spare room behind moving boxes for a few days. Every time my new Peoples would move a box, I'd skitter away like a spider. My original name was Spyder. But as I became more comfortable and vocal, I bounced around the house saying "Ooo-ooo-ooo-ahh-ahh." I had a curly tail and a very simian walk. That's where the Monkey part of my name came from. And since I stuck my stinky kitten butt in my Peoples faces, they tagged the Butt part of my name to the end!

Marley

my name is marley anson.

first, one of my daddy's most favourite singers is "bob marley". also, one of the meanings of "marley" is "from the meadow", and my mommy found me on the side of the road, right next to a big field.

"anson" means "of divine origin", and my mommy says that i am her miracle baby because she just happened to stop on that road, right where i was!

Hi, everyone! I was named after actor Chao-Li Chi (he spells it a little differently). He was in Falcon Crest, Joy Luck Club, and Wedding Crashers. We have the same regal dignity. smile

Smugglesby- Ruggleford

I made fudge!

Those are great names & stories! When my peoples adopted me, I was named Smudge. Shortly after I came home, I was acting silly and Dadda called me Smugglesby Ruggleford, inspired by Rutherford B. Hayes. Momma laughed so hard and they decided that would be my name!!
