 | | | | I did NOT rescue these pup's............please sread the word evan adopt.Today, me and dustin happened to be driving back from the beach on a desolate road on the way home to our spoiled princess Xavi, when we spotted two puppies on the side of the road. Well, we immediately pulled a U-turn and parked the car on the side of the road to check it out. So, we get out of the car and walk up to one of the pup's and next thing you know there were EIGHT of those little boogers! They were more than happy to see me, they all made a V-line straight for me! I was completely overwhelmed because there were so many and every single one of them were jumping on me, so desperately wanting my attention! We struggled for a bit, making sure no cars were coming and tried to ponder a way we could take care of the situation. Dustin eventually said, no Ashley there's nothing we can do, it's late and there's too many......... by then my blood was boiling! I said "No Way! We are getting every single one of these babies in this car right now!" Certainly and surely i got my way, we hussled them across the road to the car and packed em in! There were 5 black males and female's and 3 Brown! As we were on our way back to Greenville, i was playing with them and this one little girl became so attatched to me instantly, as i did with her as well. She laid in my lap and stared me in the eye's and i could do nothing but cry, i'm sure i was crying because i was so distraught by the situation and the circumstances these puppies were put in, due to human ignorance and crying also because she had the purest, most settled look in her eye as if she were finally at home with me. I named her Bella, because not only was she beautiful on the outside, her soul was even more. We named another male, "Sarge" since he played the leader of the pack, the protector, taking care of his brothers and sister's. He was up on his two hind legs perching against the center console with his head laying on my arms and beside Bella, it was the sweetest thing i've ever seen. What's sad is, all of the puppies passed out in the back directly after we put them in the car, they were severely dehydrated, starved, and all together exhausted from the sweltering heat. We are sad to say, we could not bring all eight puppies to this house full of roomates, and since it was already so late, we took them to the shelter here and put them in the fenced in yard beside the kennels, gave them plenty of water and food as well for the night. I couldn't bare to leave them, Sarge and Bella both came running behind me to the fence, whinning so loud, as i had tears streaming down my face. I'm going back to the shelter first thing in the morning to check on them and let the volunteers know how we found them and what we can do to get them adopted out ASAP! They're absolutely gorgeous and i can't help but adopt Bella, myself as she reminded me of my late Miller. I'm going to take pictures of the pup's tommorow and post them up here for everyone to see, so please help save a life and adopt one or two of these little angels! If you live in or around Greenville, NC or in NC in general, please do them and Me a favor and ADOPT! I'm going to try and get Bella, eventhough i want Sarge too! I'll try and have their profiles up soon enough, they seemed healthy, just had some ticks and need to be wormed/ given their shots and spayed or neutered by the vet first, then they'll be ready to go! I hope while everyone read's this your heart will grow 2 more inches in size as mine has, although i didn't think it could get any bigger! Please help us out, tell anyone you know that might be interested or just spread the word that these babies need a furever loving home! Do it for the Love Of Dog, Xavi and Me! We Love You All so Much! Xavi and Mama Ashley. | | | | |
