Hi Kitty Walkers!
I'm finally out walking. When my mommy first put the harness on me, I wouldn't move at all. After a bit, I moved, but I wouldn't stand all the way up, I sort of slinked along! Now I stand all the way up, and run all over the place! My mommy needs to get a longer leash for me for the yard, because she can't keep up. I don't like the harness at all, and still back away from it when she goes to put it on me. I would rather not be saddled with a harness, and just run free, which is what I do now that I run out the door when it's opened. I used to just stay on the porch, but now that I've been exploring, I run right out into the yard. As soon as mommy comes around to get me, I run, because I know she'll pick me up and take me inside, since I don't have that awful harness on me. She is very afraid that when I get out with out the harness that I'll run into the street or up a tree. Who knows I might. The harness is better then nothing at all though, I just hope I keep getting out without it. I have a feeling that mommy will figure something out about that though!
A lot of times when I'm walking my mommy, I'll just lay down and look around, I think she gets bored with that. The other times, I try to go under anything I can. The shed, the workshop, bushes. She won't let me do that either! I constantly meow at the door to go out though, I would spend all day outside, but I put up with laying in a window sill with the window open when I can't be outside. I can't wait till she gets home from work today, she promised to take me outside. I'll have her take a picture!
Get out and enjoy this weather!
Also, even though it made me feel punk, make sure you get your vacinations if it's time for them!

I know the feeling Natalie, I am always at the door telling my mawm I want to go out too, sometimes she just doesn't listen, she says that it's raining or to cold or something but I don't care I want to go outside. I like to go outside without a harness too, but I don't get to do it much because I get the door closed in my face, how rude, before I get to dart out the door. Tell your mawm that retractable leashes work really well for us kitty walkers.kitty

I love to go out and dad has alot of diffrent retractable leashes for Kana and I. The one we use most is the 16 foot flexi leash we use it at parks and in stores like petsmart. We have the smaller mini flexi's for closer places and for woods trail walking. dad has some old army carbiners for hooking the handle of the leash ot either tie-out stakes or hooks on his belt so he can have his hands free or when we just want to lounge on the lawn with him. We all have our shots too so we dont get anything form meeting other animals or fellow felines! Mind you I HATE goinh to the fet to get them but I know dad is just looking out for me so when we get out of the building I give him purrs and snuggles to tell him it is ok. Now have fun and go play out side as much as you can.!
