 | | | | Hi, Rocky Ann! I can be a picky eater too, and I empathize! But please keep in mind that the important thing is that you eat. Kitties with CRF should never be allowed to waste away if they won't eat the Rx stuff, as your pawrents well know. I will eat the Purina NF dry just fine, but Mom also gives me regular canned food that I like. The vet says that the fluids in canned food are helpful for us CRF kitties. I used to eat Nutro, but that upset my tummy when they changed ingredients, so now I eat the Authority/PetsMart brand; both brands have no by-products, and I have heard that a good source of protein is important. But please keep in mind that my vet told me that there is debate as to how much difference the Rx foods really make, so don't be bummed if you can't eat it. Quality of life is very important too! Let us know how it goes! I remember how difficult the first week after diagnosis was, with the new food and treatments, so please feel free to p-mail anytime. Things really will be fine once you get settled into a routine. Take care!
