I thought that this might be a good idea for everyone to be able to talk about work, thinks that irk them, clients, cases, etc. We may even be able to help each other out!
My brother Rody goes to work with my mommy every day, and hasbeen a vet tech with her since he was 7 weeks old! He is now official anesthesiologist/post-op care tech. He takes care of the puppies and kitties as they wake up from anesthesia, making sure they are a-ok!
Hi, Mom is a vet assistant applying to vet school! She would love advice for the application process! I hate going to the vet but I am glad that Mom is at least there when she takes me to work to be seen by the doctor.
Hey, if you have any specific questions, lemme know! The best advice I can give you about applying is not to wait until the last minute to get everything sent in on time! Take time with your personal statement too, think about the fact that there are hundreds, sometimes thousands of applications reviewed at each school, find some way to make your statement unique.
If you want to email me, feel free!

Hi everyone-we just joined the group! Our mom is starting her 3rd year of vet school on Monday. She has to start surgery on LIVING animals (yikes) and she is nervous. Let us know if anyone has any questions about vet school (or any advice!).
Hello!
My mommy's a vet student too! It's really annoying because she always palpates me and listens to my cardiac and respiratory system - Gosh! Do any of you have the same problem?!
Woof Woof,

Hi everyone!
My daddy is a vet. He graduated over 4 years ago, and Mama wants to go to college to become a vet tech one day. Daddy & Mama hope to own their own clinic in the future. It's usually fun being a vet's dog: I always have a lot of pals to play with (Mama & Daddy take in rescues & dropoffs a lot), if I'm sick or hurt my daddy is there to take care of me, & I get to go see Daddy at the clinic a lot. The only thing I hate are shots. I still haven't forgiven Daddy for the last time he vaccinated me.
Greetings!
Vet assistant here--no schooling to be a tech but have worked in the veterinary world for several years now. Everything I have learned has been "on the job".
It has been good and bad.
I'll have lots of questions for you all~
Thanks for starting this group
