 | | | | I don't use either a collar or harness yet (I go off leash) but I am going to become an indoor kitty when we move to an apartment really soon so I will have to learn how if I ever want Me-owt again!
Here's the question I am wondering...My humans were walking in a public park with some other humans today and met up with this guy walking his cat! The cat was wearing a little vest/jacket type harness. The man told them it was quite simple to leash train his cat and said it helped to use the soft $20 vest- harness that he found online. Should I use the strap harness we have already or should I get a vest kind? The strap one we have is the kind you can pick up at Petco. We thought it was neat because it had reflective paw prints on it (for night walking). But I didn't seem to like it the couple of times I tried it (yes I know it takes training) and we wonder if the vest would be better. I read this website a long time ago and I was wondering what you all think of their claim:
"To your feline, wearing [the plain strap] type of harness vs [the vest] type is the difference between being picked up with two fingers (NOT comfortable or reassuring) or being picked up with your entire hand (VERY comfortable and much more reassuring)!!"

This website sells the vest type of cat harness so of course they're trying to sell their product, but do you think the vest really is a lot more reassuring and comfortable than the strap kind? I notice that our group has some kitties who are wearing the vest and some on the strap harness. I just want to be comfy in whatever they make me put on!! I still won't like it for awhile!
