	Seeing as litterboxes are part of the picture of having a cat, I think the subject deserves it's own thread. So we want to know all about your litter situation... What kind do you use, how many boxes are in your home, hooded boxes or not, automatic boxes or not, etc. I think it's helpful sometimes to hear about what others do so we may learn a thing or two and maybe even walk away with a good tip!

	Since there are five of us, we have four HUGE boxes placed in separate parts of the house. It's nice to know there's a litterbox no matter where any of us go, especially for me since I have a hard time holding my bladder. Mom buys Special Kitty brand cat litter as it's the most inexpensive and best quality for the price she could find. We go through almost 90 pounds of litter a month so this stuff saves some money! Mom used to buy us Swheat Scoop litter as it's chemical free and biodegradable but since I drink and pee a ton, that type of litter just wasn't cutting it. We don't use the hooded boxes either as Fallon wouldn't go in them and she'd go to the bathroom just outside of them. Mom really doesn't blame her as she imagines a hooded litterbox is the equivalent to an outhouse for humans. crinkles her nose Mom scoops out the boxes twice a day, although sometimes more if she's expecting company. Some of us are very picky about how clean our boxes are kept and if she's not on top of them, some of us will go on the floor instead. Yikes! Edited by author Sat Apr 22, '06 9:28am PST

	i have one litter box, since we live in a 2 bedroom apartment i don't really need anymore than that. It's just a regular old box, unhooded because i'm very clean and i don't really make big messes....so it works for me!!
